1991 was  the very First Coin Pressed Coin using a retired Coin Pressin the Visitors Gallery.  One of the old coin presses was retired in 1990 after 15 years of operation & was placed in an area for visitors to the mint their own coins. The 1991 Dollar was not released into circulation, it only appeared in mint sets.  There were only 22,500 coin minted with this press.  There are now two of these presses for visits to mint their own collectable coin of the year.
